Senior Algorithmic Trading Developer

Are you an experienced algorithmic trading developer with a strong track record in building and deploying high-performance trading strategies? Then you might be our new Senior Algorithmic Trading Developer.

As part of Nitor’s algo team, you’ll work with developing and refining our algorithmic trading strategies and framework. Working closely with experienced quants and our Head of Algorithmic Solutions, you’ll be responsible for driving ideas from research to production and ensuring robust, high-performing solutions.

The algorithmic trading team is a small and driven team responsible for automated trading strategies at Nitor. We focus on automating strategies for traders as well as developing our own autonomous trading strategies. We’re looking for a senior developer with a strong quantitative mindset and a high execution drive to join us.

You’ll work across the full algo stack – from strategy development and backtesting to execution and performance optimization – always close to the market and with direct impact on trading results.

Your tasks will include

• Design, implement, and deploy advanced algorithmic trading strategies in close collaboration with traders and quants
• Backtest, analyze, and validate strategies to assess performance and robustness
• Optimize execution, performance, and reliability of our live trading setup
• Apply machine learning and quantitative methods on high-frequency (tick-level) data
• Maintain and improve our internal framework for strategy development, testing, and monitoring
• Contribute to code quality and best practices across the team
• Stay up to date on market trends, trading techniques, and relevant technologies

What we’re looking for

• You hold a Master’s or PhD in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or similar)
• Solid experience with algorithmic trading within energy markets or other relevant experience (e.g. algo-trading in equities or FX)
• Experience with algo-trading techniques in continuous markets, market making, or algo strategies using machine learning on tick data
• Strong programming skills and hands-on experience developing algorithmic trading strategies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills combined with a high execution drive
