In this role, you’ll work closely with traders and experienced quantitative analysts, contributing to the development and improvement of models, analytics and decision-support tools used in forward power markets. You’ll be involved across the quantitative workflow, from data analysis and modelling to supporting production-ready solutions used in live trading.

Your tasks will include

  • Work closely with traders and quantitative analysts to support the development and refinement of quantitative models used in power trading
  • Contribute to building and developing stack models for CWE markets
  • Assist with improving workflows, analytics, risk tools and business processes
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses to support trading, risk and commercial decision-making
  • Help design, develop and maintain analytical views used for monitoring strategies and market dynamics
  • Support the development and maintenance of Python-based models
  • Contribute to advancing and scaling our data infrastructure

What we expect

  • You’re currently enrolled in a Master’s degree within a quantitative field (e.g. mathematics, physics, economics, engineering, data science)
  • You have strong quantitative and analytical skills and enjoy working with data and models
  • You have solid Python skills and a strong interest in coding and developing quantitative solutions
  • You’re curious, motivated and eager to learn in a fast-paced trading environment
  • You’re a team player with a pragmatic mindset and a willingness to take ownership of your work
  • Interest in energy markets, power trading or related quantitative applications is considered an advantage
