IT Infrastructure Specialist

We are looking for an IT Infrastructure Specialist to take ownership of our cloud-based IT environment. In this role, you will be expected not only to operate and improve our infrastructure, but also to make technical decisions and drive direction within your domain.

You will play a key role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations while continuously improving our infrastructure to support a growing and demanding business. You will work closely with colleagues across the organization as part of a small, focused IT team where ownership, execution, and continuous improvement are central.

Your responsibilities will include

• Operate our cloud-only IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security
• Administer and optimize our Microsoft 365 environment (including Entra ID and Intune)
• Manage endpoints, identities, and access controls across the organization
• Design, implement, and maintain networking solutions (e.g. cloud networking, firewalls, VPN)
• Monitor systems and respond to incidents, including security and operational events
• Implement and maintain security controls, policies, and procedures, ensuring alignment with standards (e.g. NIS2, NIST, GDPR)
• Automate and standardize infrastructure and operational processes
• Collaborate with teams across the business to ensure IT supports evolving needs
• Drive continuous improvement of infrastructure, tooling, and ways of working
• Provide day-to-day IT operations and end-user support, including walk-up support and troubleshooting

What we’re looking for

• Experience working with cloud-based infrastructure (Azure) in a hands-on role
• Ability and willingness to take ownership and make technical decisions independently
• Strong understanding of identity and access management (Entra ID or similar)
• Experience managing endpoints and device policies (e.g. Intune or similar tools)
• Solid knowledge of networking fundamentals (DNS, routing, firewalls, VPNs, segmentation) and experience implementing them in a cloud environment
• Practical experience with security operations (incident handling, hardening, monitoring, access control)
• Experience with Microsoft 365 administration
• Ability to automate tasks and workflows (e.g. PowerShell, scripting, or similar)
• Understanding of compliance and security frameworks (e.g. NIST, NIS2, ISO 27001, GDPR)

It would be an advantage if you also have

• Experience with infrastructure-as-code or configuration management
• Experience setting up and managing monitoring, alerts, and logging systems
• Experience working in a small team with broad responsibility
• Exposure to environments where uptime and reliability are business-critical
